Way back in 1996, Vince O'Neil and I got to chatting (live and in person!) about the idea of setting up an online ASL Class. I was crazy enough to give a go at teaching the thing. He was willing to help out with the web pages. I hired his son, David, to draw a hundred signs and we posted them to the net.
To which we replied... We've come a long way since then, and we have a long way to go before it's
"good enough," but those original chats set the stage for a whole new
approach to helping people learn this beautiful language. |
